I was born in New York and graduated with an MFA from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana in painting and drawing. In 1994, I was awarded a Fulbright to Alexandria, Egypt where I taught and exhibited at the American Center. My solo exhibitions include the Tokyo American Center in Japan, the BWA Gallery in Krakow, Poland, Gallery Lohrl in Düsseldorf, Germany as well as Hampshire College Gallery, MA. The DeCordova Museum, MA, The Fitchburg Art Museum, MA, The Contemporary Art Museum in Honolulu, and three one-person exhibitions at the Genovese-Sullivan Gallery in Boston. My drawings have been exhibited at the Vienna Biennale, Norwegian Biennale and biennales in Yugoslavia and Poland. I am in the collections of Simmons College, The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, The Rose Art
Museum, The Honolulu Academy of Fine Arts and the Contemporary Arts museum in Honolulu. I work and live in Boston and am a Professor of Art at Northeastern University.
